it's funny how you can start to realize things when you're writing a personal essay. in the previous blog, i was talking about how i had to write an essay about a moral dilemma i once had and the outcome of it. well before i blurb out my thoughts about it, here's the conclusion i wrote..
"Life is not an easy journey for most; it twists and turns with many forks in the road. Although inevitably, we are given a choice; a choice on whether we go to the left or to the right. We come across a fork in the road and we are given the choice to choose the path that everyone has taken or to embark on our own path. The choices we make in life are often based on the influences of society. We must not build our choices in life around the decisions of others for our private tribulations and trials we face are different, unique, and personal. While standing at the crossroad, only we can formulate the choices for ourselves. Only our true direction in life lies within us; the choices we must ponder on with by being true to ourselves, wisdom, and lucidity."
so as i was typing it out on my computer, it made me think, REALLY THINK. --about the choices we all make in life. lately, i've been making my decisions or choices because EVERYONE else is making that same choice or whatnot. basically, i'm FOLLOWING them.. when i should be following MYSELF & what i think is right for me. it's about time i change my ways & think for myself for once. maybe then, i'll actually get the OUTCOME i've always wanted in the long run. time to stand ON MY OWN.
